Terms & Conditions – Test You Intensive (Doncaster, South Yorkshire)
Last Updated: [27/11/25]
1. Who We Are
This website is operated by Test You Intensive, a sole trader driving tuition business based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or booking any course or lesson with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Our contact details are: Email: info@testyouintensive.co.uk | Phone: 07983 517 569.
2. Our Services
We provide driving lesson packages, including intensive courses, block-booked lessons, and individual lessons, delivered by approved driving instructors. We also offer an optional “Book My Test For Me!” service.
Lesson packages provide access to driving tuition and the allocation of learner enquiries to instructors based on location and availability. Full details of each service are listed on the relevant product pages.
3. Website Use
You agree to use this website lawfully and for genuine enquiries or purchases only. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, or copy or reproduce content without permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the website at any time for maintenance, security, or misuse.
4. Prices, Payments & Bookings
All prices are displayed in GBP (£). Full payment is required at the time of purchase. A booking is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received and a confirmation email has been issued.
Your purchase includes the lesson hours specified, professional tuition, use of the instructor’s vehicle (where applicable), lesson planning, and instructor support. The optional “Book My Test For Me!” service is charged separately and is subject to specific refund rules outlined below.
5. Instructor Allocation & Lesson Scheduling
After purchasing a lesson package, learners are matched with an available instructor based on postcode coverage and instructor availability. While we aim to allocate instructors promptly, allocation times may vary depending on location and demand.
Lesson dates and times are arranged directly between the learner and the allocated instructor. We cannot guarantee specific instructors, lesson times, or start dates.
Learners must hold a valid provisional (or full, where applicable) UK driving licence, be medically fit to drive, and attend lessons on time. Lessons missed, cancelled late, or abandoned due to unfitness to drive (including alcohol, drugs, or medication affecting driving ability) may be treated as taken and become non-refundable.
6. Intensive Courses & Block Lessons
Intensive courses involve a higher concentration of lessons over a shorter period, while block bookings offer greater flexibility over a longer timeframe. Progress and completion times vary depending on the learner’s starting ability, attendance, and instructor availability.
We do not guarantee completion within a specific timeframe or readiness for a driving test.
7. “Book My Test For Me!” Add-On
This optional paid service involves us searching for available DVSA driving test appointments, booking a suitable test slot in the learner’s name, and managing scheduling communication.
We cannot guarantee specific test dates, times, or test centres, as availability is controlled entirely by the DVSA. This service fee is largely non-refundable once work has commenced.
8. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
Refunds are assessed fairly based on:
Lesson hours already delivered
Remaining unused hours
Reasonable administrative costs
Any non-refundable services already carried out (including the test-booking service)
If we cancel lessons and cannot reasonably offer a suitable alternative instructor or arrangement, unused lesson hours will be refunded on a pro-rata basis. Full refund details are outlined in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
9. Behaviour & Safety
Learners must behave respectfully and follow instructor guidance at all times. We reserve the right to immediately terminate lessons or services without refund if behaviour is unsafe, abusive, aggressive, or puts people or property at risk.
10. Test Outcomes
While we aim to prepare learners to a high standard, we cannot guarantee a driving test pass. We are not responsible for DVSA examiner decisions, test cancellations, test delays, or changes to test availability.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to lost earnings, travel costs, accommodation costs, or missed test fees.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a booking shall not exceed the total amount paid for the relevant lesson package or service.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version displayed on the website at the time of purchase will apply. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Refund & Cancellation Policy (Including Test Booking Add-On Terms)
Test You Intensive – Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Last Updated: [27/11/25]
1. General Principles
We aim to handle cancellations and refunds fairly and transparently. Refund eligibility depends on the type of product or service purchased.
Some services involve upfront and ongoing costs, including marketing, system usage, and lead generation. Where funds are allocated immediately to these services, refunds may not be available.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
2. Memberships & Lead-Based Packages (Important)
Test You Intensive memberships and lead-based packages provide access to our national system, including the allocation of learner enquiries and driving lesson leads.
Once a membership or lead-based package is activated, it is non-refundable.
This is because:
Funds are immediately allocated to marketing activity
Lead generation and system costs are incurred regardless of whether leads are ultimately converted
Access to the platform and routing system is provided from activation
If you choose to cancel your membership at any time:
Your membership will end at the end of the current billing period (if applicable)
No refunds will be issued for any unused time, credits, or perceived lead value
3. Cancelling or Rescheduling Individual Lessons (Learner-Initiated)
If you need to cancel or reschedule an individual lesson, reasonable notice must be given directly to the instructor.
With sufficient notice, lessons may be rescheduled without loss
Late cancellations, non-attendance, or failure to attend lessons may result in the lesson being treated as used and becoming non-refundable
Exact notice requirements may vary by instructor and will be communicated directly.
4. Cancelling a Lesson Package or Block Booking (Learner-Initiated)
If you cancel a lesson package or block booking (excluding memberships), refunds are calculated fairly as follows:
Total amount paid
Minus the value of lesson hours already delivered
Minus any reasonable administrative fees
Minus any non-refundable service elements (including test-booking services, if purchased)
The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded.
5. If We Cancel or Cannot Continue Lessons
If lessons are cancelled by us due to instructor illness, emergencies, vehicle issues, adverse weather, or operational reasons, we will provide reasonable notice and attempt to reschedule.
If suitable alternatives cannot be offered, unused lesson hours will be refunded on a pro-rata basis. You will not lose money due to cancellations caused by us.
6. “Book My Test For Me!” Add-On – Refund Rules
The “Book My Test For Me!” add-on is an optional paid service (currently £200) involving searching for DVSA test dates, booking tests, monitoring cancellations, and managing communication.
Because this is a service-based add-on:
The fee is mostly non-refundable once work has begun
A maximum refund of £50 may be issued only where minimal work has been carried out and both parties agree it is fair
The remaining £150 is a non-refundable service and administrative fee
Any DVSA test fee refunds are governed strictly by DVSA rules and are separate from this policy.
7. How Pro-Rata Refunds Are Calculated (Where Applicable)
Where refunds apply, they are calculated as:
Total amount paid
Minus lesson hours already used
Minus reasonable admin or cancellation fees
Minus any non-refundable service fees
This ensures you pay only for services already provided.
8. Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances can occur, such as serious illness or bereavement. In these cases, we may offer discretionary options such as lesson credits or extended rescheduling.
Any flexibility offered is discretionary, assessed case by case, and must be agreed in writing.
9. Refund Method & Timescales
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Processing times may vary, but refunds are typically completed within 5–10 working days, subject to bank or payment provider processing times.
10. Contact for Cancellations & Refund Queries
To discuss cancellations or refunds, please contact:
Email: info@testyouintensive.co.uk
Phone: 07983 517 569
11. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits or removes your rights under UK consumer law. These Terms & Conditions and this Refund Policy operate alongside your statutory protections.
